Key Economic Sectors
Project Highlight:
Policy Formulation, Stakeholder Relations and Advocacy Across Various Sectors
Created a practical approach for Canada’s Innovation Corridor in key economic sectors:
Brought together the entire ecosystem of freight stakeholders representing the Toronto-Waterloo Corridor and raised awareness about traffic congestion and limited regional coordination around private and public investment priorities
Facilitated discussions between private, public and academic sectors at Toronto Region Board of Trade’s Annual Transportation Summits since 2017
Developed action plan for Movement of Goods Council to tackle freight congestion including adoption of consistent noise by-laws to encourage off-peak deliveries on a regional basis
Raised awareness around business burden and rising costs of goods from traffic congestion. As a result of this business issue, elevated the need for coordinated policy planning and regional transit fares. Led advocacy campaign around dynamic pricing of road infrastructure to encourage higher public transit usage
Led consultation with over 300 senior stakeholders to develop top regional priorities for private and public investment over the next decade
